Australia announced a $573.3 million women’s-health package covering subsidized contraceptives and menopause therapies, larger payments for long-acting contraception, menopause assessments and 11 additional endometriosis and pelvic-pain clinics.

The innovation is in the financing and delivery architecture. Lower medicine prices matter, but so do consultation time, clinician capacity and a pathway into multidisciplinary care.

Implementation dates, uptake, out-of-pocket costs, rural access, workforce readiness and whether the package measurably shortens time to appropriate care.
